Good CCTV for home use is a system, not a camera. Most houses have three or four places that matter: the front door, the drive or parking space, the side gate or alley, and the rear garden or back door. A home CCTV installation plans a camera for each of those views, connects them to one recorder with enough storage to keep footage until you need it, and sets up remote viewing on the phones of the people who should have it. That way an incident at the back of the house is recorded as clearly as one at the front.
